Vintage variation is the heartbeat of fine wine collecting. Understand the character of every year represented in our vault.
The Year's Signature
No two vintages are alike. The temperature patterns of a single growing season — the timing of spring bud break, summer heat, August rains or their absence, the length of September sunshine — imprint themselves indelibly on the wines produced. Great vintages produce wines that age for 30, 50, even 100 years. Challenging years demand selective picking and skilled cellaring.
The collector who understands vintage variation holds a decisive advantage: knowing when to buy young vintages for long aging and when to seek mature bottles at their peak.

Climate: Warm, sunny with timely rainfall.
A consistent, high-quality vintage across Bordeaux, Burgundy, and the Rhône. Ripe tannins, good freshness, and excellent aging potential.
Climate: Very warm, near-drought conditions.
One of the greatest Bordeaux vintages in a generation. Dense, powerful, and age-worthy. Right Bank stars particularly performed.
